Falsettos The Musical
You don’t have to love cold weather to enjoy North Dakota in the winter months. Cruise over to Grand Forks to watch the Empire Theatre Company present Falsettos, the captivating tale of a very out-of-the-ordinary family. The play will be presented from Feb. 4 to 13, at 415 DeMers Ave.
Beer and Bacon Bash
Reserve Feb. 5, for Langdon’s annual Beer and Bacon Bash — a must-visit North Dakota event. This fun night out includes 28 businesses presenting their best bacon recipes. A huge sampling of beers will also be on hand to create mouthwatering beer and bacon pairings.
Ice Fishing Derby
Ready to get outside an embrace the North Dakota winter? Don’t miss the 2016 Ice Fishing Derby at the Jamestown Reservoir in Jamestown. The event will feature more than $83,000 in cash prizes, two ice houses and a brand-new Chevy Silverado. All ice fishing afficionados and fans of the sport will enjoy this action-packed day outside on the ice.
North Dakota Pond Hockey Championships
Get out on the ice in a different way at the North Dakota Pond Hockey State Championships on Feb. 20 and 21. The 8th annual event will feature ice hockey the way it used to be, in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere with plenty of competition. The championship will be held at 1012 Woodland Dr., in Devils Lake.
