September Events for RVers in North Dakota

North Dakota has a lot going on this September for the adventurous traveler. From a street fair steeped in tradition, to a grueling physical challenge not for the faint of heart, to a cultural experience like none other, see all that North Dakota has to offer!

43rd Annual Downtowners Street Fair

From September 16-17 enjoy this perennial favorite in Bismarck. Each fall, the Downtowners of Bismarck produce an arts, crafts and food show called Street Fair. This event was created by the Downtowners in 1973 as “Customer Appreciation Days” then grew into a full-blown street fair. Vendors line the streets of downtown Bismarck.

Iron Will Warrior Challenge

For those athletically inclined, this event in Bottineau on September 10 is sure to challenge. Three miles of down and dirty, mud-running action, all while facing grueling, heart-pumping obstacles scattered over the demanding terrain of the Turtle Mountains. After your personal conquest, stick around for the ultimate after-race party fun with food and drinks. Funds raised are used to support the Annie’s House Adaptive Recreation Program at Bottineau Winter Park. Starts at 10am and runs to 3pm.

United Tribes International Powwow

Head over to Bismarck from September 9-11. This Powwow, held annually in the Lone Star Arena at United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck, has become one of the premier cultural events of North Dakota, receiving numerous awards over the years. Fifteen hundred dancers and drummers representing more than 70 tribes draw more than 20,000 spectators to the this must-see event!
